Visits that improve mental health for seniors in our community.

Visit-A-Bit was created to combat senior loneliness in St. Louis and improve senior participants’ quality of life.

Every week, new volunteers are paired with local seniors to provide regular socialization. With their help, we’re reversing epidemic-like trends associated with senior mental health including:

  • declining health habits
  • increased risk of Alzheimer’s and cognitive decline
  • higher instances of elder abuse

“I love you all. I’m very happy. Yes, I can have visitors.”

- Senior Participant

“Especially during the past year it has been nice to visit with an outside perspective.”

- Senior Participant

A gift to the Visiting Nurse Association of Greater St. Louis helps fund the Visit-A-Bit program’s operations and materials, including training for volunteers, PPE equipment and technology tools for volunteer communication and outcome tracking.

Let’s fight this loneliness epidemic together and ensure no senior in St. Louis has to go about life alone. Please make a gift today.
